Roleplay- 25th of November

Linda digs closer to Ninja. Being near him makes her feel relaxed and safe.

Inside, Duke works on expanding the chambers and tunnels a little as they clean their new home.

Ninja looks up at the sky thinking he saw something but it turns out to be just a drongo making a landing near Linda looking to steal what ever she digs up. He stands protectively close to Linda ready to defend her and the group if danger appears.

Conker has become more relaxed and begins playfully batting Cactus with his front paws.

Linda notices the drongo and resumes foraging. She eats what she finds quickly before the drongo can get it.

Ninja ignores the drongo's presence and keeps focused on sentry duty.

Cactus chuckles and nips Conker's tail playfully.

Conker squeals with delight and playfully nips at Cactus' nose.

Duke shovels some sand out of the burrow and starts to push it away above ground.

Linda starts digging a hole in the ground. What she's after is deep, and a good portion of her body is underground soon enough. She unaware that a jackal is nearby, but it hasn't spotted them yet.

Ninja is scanning the landscape thoroughly but he fails to see the jackal that's trotting through the vegetation neaby. He then turns his back to where the jackal's location is as he turns and looks up at the sky as something catches his attention. It just turns out to be the same drongo that landed next to Linda earlier.

Duke stops his work for a moment to stand and look around. He quickly spots something moving through the vegetation not too far off and soon enough, the jackal emerges from the vegetation. He makes relatively quiet yet urgent alarm calls, fearing a loud alarm would give away their position.

Linda has her head in the ground, and is oblivious to the threat.

Ninja whips around when he hears Duke's soft urgent alarm calls and spots the jackal in the near distance. His first instinct is to sound a loud urgent alarm call but fearing it would draw the jackal's attention to the group, he holds in that instinct. He locks his eyes on the jackal though and bobs up and down as he watches it intensely hoping it doesn't spot the Jumaa. Realizing Linda is submerged in the ground, he nudges her to warn her of the danger.

Linda quickly stops her digging and comes out of her hole. There may be a threat if she's bothered above ground while vulnerable, so she's quick to stop her digging. She hear's Duke alarm and looks around, spotting the jackal. She shudders at the sight. Linda looks at Ninja and nods, knowing what to do. She heads into the burrow.

Ninja decides to remain above ground. If all turns dangerous, he won't head below ground until he knows everyone will make it into safty. To be prepared, Ninja steps half way into burrow poised to act if the jackal spots the group.

The jackal slowly leaves, appearantly not spotting them. Duke sighs relieved, and stands sentry just incase.

Linda stays just below ground near the entrance. She's being extra cautious.

Ninja relaxes his tense muscles, relieved that the jackal hadn't taken notice of the Jumaa. He looks down at Linda and smiles calmly letting her know the danger has passed for now.

Aliya also scans the area, once the jackal leaves.

Emzio is still in the burrow, unaware that the jackal left. She warily peers out the hole and sees it's gone. She gets above ground and looks around warily.

Suri is still in the burrow. She hasn't bothered to emerge yet.

Ninja steps out of the bolt hole then returns his serious expressioned gaze to the horizon and sky, on high alert. The predator scare has left him feeling on edge and nervous and he stands protectively in front of Linda. He has become very protective of her and vows not to let anything bad happen to her or their unborn pups.

Linda comes back out and looks around. Seeing it's safe, she resumes foraging. Until the pups are born, she has to watch out, as protecting them involves protecting herself.

Ninja looks back and forth between Linda and the landscape making sure to keep danger at bay and Linda and the rest of the group safe.

Duke keeps an eye out, especially on the pups. It could be disaster if they stray off.

Linda finds a beetle and eats it ravenously.

Ninja scans the vegetation occassionally. Not only do they need to be aware of predators but they also need to watch out for sneaky rovers as well.

Linda forages some more and has her fill. She stands up next to Ninja and peeps to him. He needs to eat, and she can cover for him.

Ninja nods. It's been a while since he's had something decent to eat and he's lost a noticable amount of weight. He drops down to all 4s and begins digging. He knows that if he risks going another day without eating, he'll be facing starvation again and it's something he doesn't want to go through like he did a year ago.

Linda keeps a steady watch and allows her mate to rest and forage. She also watches for rovers, as even though she's already pregnant and has Ninja as a mate, it could be dangerous for her and Ninja's pups if another female falls pregnant.

Ninja shovels into the ground using all of his upper body strength to excavate the ground below him. Soon, his whole body is submerged in the deeply dug hole. He can smell something delicious and is determined to reach it.

Kamaria was still deep in the burrow when Duke issued the alarm calls, and she's currently unaware of it, for she;s curled up deep in the burrow complex, sleeping her sadness away.
