The Manor of Kalahari

(( I believe this site has been posted here before, but I decided to do it in this thread being so there's been some updating of the site, as well as you'll find a more detailed explanation of what it is, basic rules, etc. here. ))


Kalahari Manor is a meerkat role-play site formed on November 28th of 2009, although members Ozzkat (myself), Darkdream, Metallikat, LiveLaughLove, Muckie, and Squeak have been role-playing together some since late 2007 and some early 2008. I'm the administrator, though I could never do it without the help of the four amazing co-admins and great friends of mine, Darkdream, LiveLaughLove, Squeak, and Metallikat (name similarity= she is my long-lost twin. xD).
About Kalahari Manor, we're a site dedicated to three forms of role-play: Realistic, Unrealistic (a mix of fantasy and realistic), and Fantasy (also a note- although it is fantasy, there are limitations, hence why it is vital to read the rules), each which have specific criteria and limitations within their rules. In specific categories you may also provide stories, profiles/brief biographies, reports on what occurs each month in your gang, and plot boards for the mobs. Outside of the role-play, there are also boards where you are more than welcome to introduce yourself, chat about this and that, games, talk about "Meerkat Manor", share art, advertise your sites, pay hommage to real lives, provide profiles/biographies of yourself (but, on this there are great limitations to what you are allowed to post about yourself, and you are always expected to not provide too much information), etc. I apologize that, as a guest, you can see all the categories and boards, but you cannot enter them; originally this was not so, but after we had huge issues with a now permanently-exiled member, myself and the staff decided it was wisest to do this for all of the members' privacy and protection. So, I apologize you can see so little without joining.
Lastly, as for privelages that we commonly receive questions about. On KM, you are more than welcome to create a mob whenever you wish- you do not need permission beforehand, just be sure you post the mob where they fit in (realistic, unrealistic, fantasy). As well, another question we get a lot, inactivity is perfectly fine; it's not an issue at all if you aren't on as much as other members. But, your account usually is deleted after not seeing/hearing from you for about a year. But basically, it's not a concern if you're not online a lot. [:
