Roleplay - 15th of July 2009

Snowstorm awoke first. He yawned and sat by the burrow, looking around sleepily. All seemed peacefull. He noticed a movement in the bush. Snowstorm sat upright, glaring at the movement. What was it? A predator? A rover? A rival group?

Flurry emerged after Snowstorm and saw his anxious expression and looks to where he was looking. Curious, yet wary, he bobbed his head.

ooc: I'm going to temporarily adopt Enigma, since she's hasn't even been introduced yet. I hope you don't mind.

bic: A lone female appeared from the bush. She had been by herself for sometime, and was in desperate need of a place to stay. Enigma watched Snowstorm and Flurry, a little unsure of herself. She approached them carefully. Snowstorm watched her, she was not what he had been expecting, but allowed her to approach the group.

Flurry watches Enigma, curious and slightly wary.

Enigma chirped to Flurry, and lay down submissively. All she wanted was to join the group, she meant them no harm. Snowstorm grunted. He wasn't really bothered what happened to the female.

Flurry smiled, he didn't mind if she stayed.

Enigma was happy that she was accepted, and began to groom the two males. Snowstorm grunted and headed out to forage. Enigma followed obeidently.

Flurry groomed her back, then followed Snowstorm.

Snowstorm dug into the sand, and caught himself a scorpion. Enigma looked around, she realised that she could take up dominance in the mob. She scent marked the closest tree, to claim it as the Blizzard's, and walked over to Snowstorm, giving him a gentle hipslam.

In very near bushes, Fantasy picks up the scent of a small group!Maybe she could join them and have a home once more.

Maybe these meerkats would be less aggresive towards her?Or if they were filled with the same aggresion she would leave and find some other group.Either way Fantasy approaches cautiously.

Flurry notices the female and chirps, lowering his head.

Fantasy continues to approach as if she belongs to the group already.She stopps and stands on her hind legs and chirps trying to assure this group that she meant absolutely no harm.

She stops just a few yards from the nearest group member.She lies down submisevly.

Enigma (who had declared herself as dominant female) ran over. She sniffed the new female curiously. She then scent marked her, to show she was apart of the group. Snowstorm watched on, disinterested.

Fantasy took the scent marking just glad that she has a new life with a new family.
After the scent marking was done Fantasy went to each of the other meerkats in the group and groomed them a little to show how glad she was to belong somewhere.

Snowstorm grunted at Fantasy. He wasn't the socialble kind. He climbed up a drie doring bush to get a better look at the surrounding area. He could see little danger. He jumped down, and followed Enigma, who was foraging happily. He lay down beside her, but she egnored him. She left her hole, and called for the group to follow.

Fantasy follows her new leader. She decides that she will stick at the back of the group.

They reached a clearing. Enigma stopped the group, and checked the area for danger. A herd of eland had gathered, and though they posed no serious threat, they were a lot bigger than the Blizzards. Enigma was unwilling for her group to go near them, so she kept them waiting at the edge of the clearing. Snowstorm chirped submissively to Enigma, and began to groom her. She shook him off. She knew that he wanted something.

Fantasy went to sit behind Enigma.She watched the herd of eland slowly move across the clearing.Once and a while she would serch the sky for danger, but there was nothing but blue sky and a few clouds.

Snowstorm gave up and watched the eland. Slowly, they were moving out of the clearing, and when they had moved completely, he gave the all clear to Enigma. She led the group down into the clearing. Snowstorm tried again and walked over to Enigma, and began to groom her. This time, Enigma was more willing to oblige and allowed the grooming.

Fantasy went about her buisiness foraging.She got a large beetle and a millipede.She then took on gaurd duty.

Snowstorm seemed oblivious to what Fantasy was doing. All of his attention was focused on Enigma. He groomed her, and she groomed him back. Snowstorm stood up, and made for the bushes. Enigma followed.

Fantasy saw her boss go into the bushes and became even more alert for her sake.
Suddenly Fantasy spots an eagle overhead.She sends out alarm barks to warn her new family.She looks around for Enigma. but she can't see her anywhere.

At first, Enigma hadn't heard Fantasy's alarm calls. She was paying too much attention to Snowstorm. But she stopped, as she could hear the faint warning from Fantasy. She looked out of the bush and saw the eagle flying over head. She calls to her group hoping to take them to a bolt hole, but she had no idea where the closest one was.

ooc: Could I have an update on what's happening?

ooc: Sorry. Two new females, Enigma and Fantasy, have joined the group, and Enigma has self appointed herself as DF. Snowstorm, the DM, only seems interested in Mating, btu Fantasy has just spotted eagle, and Enigma doesn't know the territory very well.
