Roleplay - 1st of September, 2009

Ages of those under one year:
Lewa ....... 7 months and 23 days.
Angel, Nereza, Jay, Sassy, Spunky, Bruno and Jack... Newborns.

Running Star, I can take two of Running Star's pups and name them Jack and Bruno?

Stripe lay in the burrow mouth. Overnight, she had given birth to three pups. She held on to them tightly, not wanting to let go in case she lost them.

Streak sniffed all of the new pups. His leg was feeling better, and he was ready to do his duty for the group.

OOC: Sure

Running Star had had a rough night giving birth to her four pups. Sassy, Spunky, Jack, and Bruno were all snuggled tightly against her. Little Spunky was a bit smaller than the others, but Running Star hoped she would catch up in time.

Running Star chirped thankfully to Streak. His protection would prove vital if the group was to stay strong. She refused to budge from her spot. She knew she would need to eat, but wanted to bond with her little ones.

bic: Stripe looked up at Streak. She chrred happily, and groomed each one of her pups.

Streak saw the pups and chirped. The family was growing! He groomed each of the pups in pups, as well as Runnign Star.

Stripe smiled, and stood up. The pups squeaked, but Stripe knew that she had to leave them to find food. Once above ground, she started to clear up the burrow entrance.

Running Star stayed with the pups in an attempt to help Stripe. She was thinking perhaps they could share baby-sitting duties. She was hungry, but she wanted to give them a good start. Her large meal the day before helped.

Stripe re-entered the burrow, and chirped to the others. Since the group is small, maybe they should forage near the burrow, so they didn't have to leave someone to babysit.

Running Star felt the hunger, and ran up to see if there was anything available to eat. She dug up a millipede, then went back down.

Stripe paused by the burrow mouth, making sure there was no trouble before she foraged. She caught herself a scorpion, and ate it quickly, before returning to the burrow.
Lewa appeared by the burrow mouth, and chirped to Stripe. However, she didn't stop, too worried about her pups.

Streak approached Lewa and groomed her.

Lewa smiled at Streak, looking at him with his green eyes. He bounded a few steps away from the burrow, stopped and looked back to see if Streak was foraging.

Streak found a tasty gecko and quickly devoured it. He left half on the ground for the others. Now full, he scanned the area for danger.

Lewa saw the gecko, and ran over and began eating it.
Stripe re-emerged, and imeadiately began foraging. SHe kept stopping, as she could hear her pups crying for her, but she knew that they would be safe with Running Star. She chirped thankfully to Streak, and continued to forage.

Running Star groomed each pup diligently. She wanted them all to feel safe and loved, regardless of parentage. She knew that once they reached a certain age, they would be able to help defend the group. She did not know if Lewa would be able to baby-sit successfully at his age, so she was not taking chances. She chrrred to the others, letting them know everything was fine.

Streak chirped back to Running Star, and then called to his family. It felt like the time came to search further into their terriotry for food. With seven new pups, it was essential.

Stripe looked up at Streak, and back at the burrow. SHe felt a little uneasy.
Lewa bounded after Streak, happy they were going foraging.

Streak ran over to Stripe and nuzzled her. It'll be ok. He decided to take up the lead and began to make lead calls for his family to follow. Without food, this family would have no chance of survival.

Stripe smiled. She knew Streak was right. She stood up and looked into the burrow. If Running Star came foraging, then she would too.

Running Star chrred to Stripe to trade spots. She was starving, and needed to forage.

Stripe nodded, and entered the burrow. When Running Star came back, she would do a bit of foraging herself.
Lewa bounded back and chirped to the group.

With the foraging party assembled, Streak chirped and followed Running Star to a new foraging party. As they walked, he made sure everyone stayed together.

Lewa chirped to the others and foraged. He still had a little difficulty foraging.
Stripe cuddled the seven pups, glancing at the entrance to make sure no unwelcome visitors came in.

Running Star ate what she could grab, and then gave a small beetle to Lewa. He was still young, and she felt he needed a helping hand. She chirped to Stripe and then to the others to let them know that no dangers were lurking.

Lewa chirped thankfully to Running Star and ate his beetle happily.
Stripe heard Running Star's call, and exited the burrow and stood by it's mouth. She was unwilling to leave it, though.
